In missions, just like in life, theology must inform everything we do.
That’s why before going to the ends of the earth, we must know why we are going in the first place. In order to hold fast to the course—the Great Commission—that our Lord has set before his church, we must vigorously study and commit ourselves to it.
If we neglect to do this, we are bound to drift and miss the mark. At best, we will be less effective in our ministry and at worst completely misrepresent the Christ we are trying to proclaim.

Amanda grew up going to Cedar Crest until she was 18, at which point her family transitioned to Orchard Hills on the core church-planting team. After attending Penn State University, she interned on its Cru Staff. Currently, she is in the process of building a team of prayer and financial ministry partners in order to join the staff team there long-term.
John and Judy are members of Cedar Crest and work alongside TEAM’s (The Evangelical Alliance Mission) global workers in Wheaton, IL. John is the director of personnel.
Chris served as a senior pastor in North Georgia for eight years. The Lord enabled the church he pastored to send several families from their congregation and to invest 45% of the budget in global missions. He then moved with his family of five to Bolivia as missionaries to Amazonian least-reached people groups. After returning from the field, he has served in various positions at the home office of SIM in Charlotte, including director of personnel, chief recruitment officer, and, most recently as lead trainer. He is deeply passionate about helping the church to send and prepare global workers.
Chris and his wife, Joy, have been married for 26 years. They have three children: Emily (20), Anna (19), and Caleb (13).
