Latest Update

Wednesday, November 24th

We are thankful to hear of families who are recovering or have recovered from COVID, but we continue to hear of some families who are still dealing with COVID. In light of everything, we evaluated our ministries and have made the following updates:

  • Discipleship Institute and all children’s & student ministries at 8:45 AM have been canceled this Sunday.
  • We WILL hold our 10:00 AM worship service and have our children’s ministries (nursery, Blastoff and Skyrocket). Our service will continue to be live-streamed.
  • Youth Group WILL NOT take place this Sunday night Nov. 28th due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • All Wednesday night ministries are canceled through Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy this encouraging Thanksgiving message from Pastor Jason Hoy on behalf of the entire CCBFC staff.

How We Are Navigating COVID

Recently, there has been a rise of COVID cases within our church body impacting our staff, families, and volunteers, which led us to cancel our Wednesday evening ministries.

We ask that everyone use God-sought wisdom and discretion when around others, to think of others above ourselves, and use this opportunity to further the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As the body of Christ, we must do a good job of encouraging one another, refraining from gossip, and keeping the gospel as first importance.

If you are looking for ways to help others tangibly, here are a few suggestions.

  1. Pray – pray for the needs of others impacted by COVID as well as many other things. You can sign up to join the weekly prayer and praise sheet. https://cedarcrest.church/prayer/
  2. Make a meal – The meal ministry is a great source of encouragement for those who are sick, in the hospital or have a newborn. We are always in need of more people to join the ministry. meals@cedarcrest.church
  3. Words of encouragement – Letters, texts, and notes of encouragement filled with scripture should always be at the forefront of our minds. Don’t just think and pray for someone. Let them know.

We are reminded in 1 Peter 1:3 that we have “a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” Without this truth, for followers of Christ, our faith is of no use. However, with this truth, our hope is secure, and so we look forward to our inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for us. We should all look forward to when that day comes with eagerness and joy.

If you decide that you would rather stay home this Sunday morning, you can watch the worship service online at www.cedarcrest.church, download the church app “Cedar Crest” or watch through our Facebook page.

We will continue to monitor what is happening within the church family as well as in the community and will update you about future church activities.

Rejoicing in the Hope of our resurrected Christ,
The Elders of Cedar Crest
