We communicate important news and updates that are relevant to the whole congregation.
A great way to stay connected is via our email newsletter sent out every week.
Dear Cedar Crest Family,
In a church family our size, I know some of you are experiencing a season of blessing, others are walking in shadowy valleys, and some are in between. I pray that wherever you are, you remember that absolutely nothing in all creation is able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39). We have God’s very presence within our souls at all times. In this currently fallen world, Satan is allowed to try to convince us otherwise, but the love of Jesus Christ cannot be taken away from those who have confessed with their mouths that He is Lord and who believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
The faithful people on our Church Staff remind us of God’s presence and inseparable love, along with many other life-giving truths from God’s word, every week and throughout the year. They preach His Word to us, teach it, care for us, walk with us through the valley, pray for us, lead us in worship of our Triune God, maintain our church property, set up and tear down, administer the church’s business, and so many other things so that we never forget what God’s Word tells us about Him and who we are in Christ Jesus. I really need that every day, and I trust you do as well.
On behalf of your church Elders, I commend our great Church Staff to you, and I want to let you know about an opportunity to show them our appreciation together as a church. Inspired by October’s Pastoral Appreciation Month, it has become our practice at Cedar Crest to observe Church Staff Appreciation Month for the whole ministry staff by giving monetary gifts and sending notes of appreciation. The Elders of CCBFC invite you to participate in this show of appreciation, as the Lord may lead. If you would like to participate, here are few ways you can do it:
The monetary appreciation gifts will be collected between now and October 31, 2022. We will present the gifts to our Church Staff members during a Sunday morning service at a later point.
Please note – for the monetary appreciation gifts to be given to individuals without a tax burden on them, they cannot be treated, for your tax purposes, as tax-deductible, charitable contributions like your regular tithes and offerings.
Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel. It is a blessing to serve you as an Elder.
